Today is Live Simply Day. We have a Live Simply Day so that we can stand in solidarity with the poor people, in our world . To live simply means to not watch tv and things like that and they do not have a clock.
I am 8 years old and I like to play with my grey, yellow and orange cockatiel. I throw her a ball with a bell inside it and she runs after it.

Hot Air Balloon Day
Today our whole school went out to our school field when I saw the there was a huge hot air balloon on our field.
There was a penguin on the balloon.
First Mrs Thomson went in the balloon. She was vidioing on her camera.
When Mrs Thomson was done, Mr Keogh went up into the Balloon .
I was lining up for a ride. Paige, Ruby, Keira and I went together on the hot air balloon. When it was our turn, we climbed into the balloon, then Clare said to the men, "Don't hurt my Gym girls."
They said, "Ok."
We went up very calmly and gracefully. We went up very high. When we came down the penguin was squashed. We had to be patient and have faithfulness.
Before I went on the hot air balloon, I had to be hopeful. The hot air balloon was very colourful. The colours were yellow, red, orange and maroon. The basket was made out of cane and there was a blanket over the cane. We hovered above the ground. I was boiling like crazy. At the end, my Mum went up with Quinn’s mum in the hot air balloon then they put the hot air balloon down. Our whole school helped to get it down. It was amazing.

My Shell
My shell looks like a moon or a cave. I think that it came from a clam.
It looks beautiful and sharp. Half of the shell is shiny and soft. I love my shell. It is a cool shell. It smells like the sea. It was carried by the sea. The sea is salty. All the sea animals live in the sea to keep themselves alive.
I think it has been in the shallow part of the sea. It has some yellow on it and some cracks in it. I love it. It looks like a moon. I think it travelled from the Waikato River to the Cavalli Islands. It must have been an awesome journey.

Swimming Sports
Yesterday, our school had our swimming sports at the Ngaruawahia Town Pools. The first race we did was freestyle. At the start Mr k said to get into the pool. Mr K raised his arms and said, “On your marks ,get set, go!”
We were off like a rocket. We were kicking our legs and feet and our arms were going fast over our heads. It was cold and I was shivering like crazy. My heart was beating very fast and I had butterflies in my stomach. We got out of the pool then we waited for the next race.
It was backstroke. While we were waiting for the next race, the big kids did their race. Brooke and Pearl dived in like a shooting star. Pearl caught up to Brooke in backstroke. Brooke won.
